Teotitlán del Valle is a town in Oaxaca, Mexico primarily inhabited by the Zapotec people. Teotitlán is a culturally rich town celebrated for its heritage and traditional weaving craftsmanship. It offers visitors a unique opportunity to experience indigenous culture, purchase high-quality handmade textiles, and enjoy the region's natural beauty. 

I returned to my hometown, Teotitlán del Valle, in Oaxaca, México, and wanted to find a way to highlight its rich culture. As an editor for USC Dímelo, I wanted to use our Snapchat platform to showcase the various industries within my hometown, including gastronomy, rug weaving, organic dying tactics, traditional candle making, wardrobe in folk dances, and more.

I filmed, edited, produced, created, and designed this Snapchat Edition. This is a piece of my heart, and I would like to share Indigenous culture with the world (or at least Snapchat users). Check it out!
